Give ale a try for England
8:00pm Friday 27th January 2012
DEVIZES brewers Wadworth & Co are coming to the rescue of dispirited England rugby supporters with an early launch of its favourite spring seasonal ale St George & The Dragon.
Timed to hit the Wadworth pubs in time for the Six Nations tournament in February, St George & The Dragon will be raising the spirits of rugby supporters as they cheer their team on to a rousing revival of fortunes after the disappointments of last year’s Rugby World Cup.
“We at Wadworth are keen rugby supporters and proud to be major sponsors of the great Bath rugby team to prove it,” said sales and marketing manager Paul Sullivan.
“So this year, we thought we would give the England supporters a boost by launching our popular St George & The Dragon ale a month early, in time for the Six Nations. This is a truly English ale and is the perfect beer to sup while watching the matches at the local pub. Come on England!”
The ale will be available on draught in selected Wad-worth pubs from February to April.
Bottles of St George & The Dragon are available all year round from the Visitor Cen-tre in New Park Street, Dev-izes, and online priced at £1.90 per bottle or 12 for £22 as part of a mixed case offer.
