‘Way to go’, say exhibition photographers in Lacock
1:00pm Sunday 21st March 2010

American treats were the order of the day when the Fox Talbot Museum in Lacock hosted a special showing of Icons of the Highway.
Photographers Eva and Tony Worobiec toasted the evening in Coca-Cola as they sat down to sign copies of their book.
Fox Talbot curator Roger Watson, an American, was delighted with the interest the latest exhibition had attracted. He said: “These images are as American as apple pie and George Washington. Tony and Eva have captured these diners, motels, cinemas and other roadside attractions all neon-lit and symbols of the brash but optimistic 1950s and 1960s.”
The couple spent several years and many trips to capture the images, and Tony said: “Seeing them all displayed here has made all our hard work worthwhile.”
The exhibition at The Fox Talbot museum runs until June 27.
